On 10-12 September 1999, the 6th European Solidarity Conference on the Philippines was held at the Reading International Solidarity Centre, in Reading (just outside London), UK. More than 80 participants, representing institutions and organizations active in Philippine-related work in 9 European countries, the US and the Philippines – studied various aspects of the Philippine situation, exchanged experiences and ideas about future work, and made plans for common activities.
